Do I Need Planning Permission for a Greenhouse?

Do I Need Planning Permission for a Greenhouse?

In the vast majority of instances, planning permission is not required in order to build a greenhouse.

Greenhouses tend to be classed as “outbuildings” by the Government, which means that in the vast majority of cases planning permission will not be required. However, there are certain instances where this will not be the case that we recommend you should check prior to ordering your greenhouse with Cultivar.

These rules generally government a height of no more than 2.5 metres, with special restrictions in place governing the building of outbuildings on listed premises. For a complete list of factors that you will need to take account of, we recommend heading over to the Government Planning Permission Portal.

When you buy a Greenhouse from Cultivar, you can be sure that we will build our greenhouses to the recommended requirements so you can have the complete peace of mind that comes with knowing you are dealing with a professional and experienced greenhouse manufacturer.
