Greenhouses at Hampton Court Flower Show

At this year’s prestigious Hampton Court Flower Show which runs from 25th June to 1st July Cultivar has a Japanese theme on their stand (Stand no. HC541). Accoya has the perfect look for traditional Japanese joinery which is strikingly modern.

Japanese Pergola made entirely from Accoya

To the rear of the stand Shoji screens are framed with Accoya twinned with slatted Japanese bath house style fencing. The piece-de-resistance will be an Accoya Japanese pergola that will lead onto the stand in grand Shinto style. Traditional joinery, mortice and tenon joints and the utmost respect for quality are part of Cultivar’s and the Japanese vocation.

The Traditional Planthouse range

We’ll have three greenhouses on display at the show. Our traditional wooden Planthouse with a partitioned area that will allow two separate growing conditions.

The New Alumnium Glasshouse Range

We’ll also be featuring the exciting new range of aluminium greenhouses. Offered with two tone aluminium and a choice of panelling to the greenhouse base. The small aluminium greenhouse measuring 6’8” x 7’9” (2026 x 2362mm) is shown with an enamel stripey base, a contemporary glasshouse for a modern garden.

For those looking for a more traditional structure the new aluminium Victorian greenhouse will be on display. Measuring 8’ x 10’5” (2438 x 3187mm) this model comes complete with powder coated aluminium boarding, an attractive alternative to building a dwarf wall.

For the exterior planting we’ve teamed up with Howle Hill Nursery whilst the interior each greenhouse will have a different theme. The Accoya model will please any orchid grower with plants provided by Burnham Nursery. The Victorian greenhouse will house a range of home grown fruit and vegetables for someone particularly fond of chillies. Whilst the smallest greenhouse will be home to a succulent and Sempervivum collection.

For those interested in the plants on display here’s a list of what is being taken:

  • Fargesia murilae Yang
  • Acer palmatum Seon Kaku
  • Acer palmatum Dissectum Stella Rosso
  • Acer palmatum Jerre Schwartz
  • Fatsia japonica
  • Cyrtomium falcatum
  • Hemerocallis Stella D’Oro 1
  • Tiarella Spring Symphony
  • Dryopteris wallichiana
  • Dryopteris erythrosaura
  • Mahonia Soft Caress
  • Pittosporum tobira Nana
  • Nandina domestica
  • Nandina Obsession

Inside the greenhouse the orchids on display will include:

  • Mixed Phalaenopsis
  • Brassia spider orchid – green
  • Miltonia Sunset – yellow and pink
  • Oncidium Sweet Sugar – yellow
  • Dendrobium warm growing variety in purple
  • Dendrobium cool growing type in pink and white

You’ll see we’ve put some colours against the name to help any visitors to the stand identify any that catch your eye particularly. And for those who cannot make the show perhaps this will go some way to demonstrating the range of greenhouses at Cultivar.
