The brief we were handed by the client requested a practical working greenhouse which complimented the stylish, traditional landscape with a contemporary touch.
Our solution was a wall garden greenhouse which is over twenty feet in length and more than ten foot wide internally. This is in addition to wide staging which is added to the left hand side:
Also on the left hand side internally is a row of Cultivar’s specially designed folding greenhouse shelving which is laden with pots of delightful flowering plants.
In the Spring, it is likely that the greenhouse will become home to tender seedlings and cuttings prior to being hardened off in this full side of cold frames before being planted outside.
The right hand side of the greenhouse is being used to grow fresh courgettes, peppers, aubergines, cucumbers and tomatoes which are all deeply sunk into the ground.
With doors at either end of the greenhouse, the work space is well used. The wide doors permit easy access to the greenhouse as well as a welcome breeze on the hottest days
Within just a couple of years it is clear that the beautiful long lasting Accoya greenhouse frames and boarding are already going a silver grey, aging and coordinating with the subtle grey powder coated aluminium glazing bars as intended in the original design.
This high quality greenhouse is sure to grow old gracefully and as the wall garden gradually achieves its former grandeur, much pleasure will be derived from this successful renovation.
